The Barbecue and Bluegrass Festival is this weekend in Spruce Pine. Which means 2 things-- 1) the pulled pork pizza is back. 2) traffic will be tied up in town. It may be best to go 19E to Altapass Rd/Amethyst St. to get your pizza on Friday or Saturday.

Did you know we are an official collection site for used cooking oil?   The oil is collected by Blue Ridge Biofuels and turned into fuel which is then distributed for sale in WNC.  Each time they empty the dumpster, we receive a check which is donated to Spruce Pine Main Street Association to make our town more beautiful.  Everybody wins when you dispose of your cooking oil in an environmentally friendly way!  To learn more about Blue Ridge Biofuels, click the link under the "Links" heading on our home page.

The Winter Trivia Tournament is ON

Hey there triviots: it's Thursday, March 13th, and that means it's time for the final day of our annual Winter Trivia Tournament! Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these hosts from the swift completion of their appointed trivia rounds. We are GO for trivia tonight! Something new for this week:  Meatball subs!  Featuring Small Town Pork ground pork and Blue Ridge Beef Company ground beef, house made rolls, and sauce.  Served with chips and a pickle for $8.  And, yes, we still have lasagne.  Remember... we are open for lunch Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Each team may have up to six players per night,
but players may change from week to week.

Keep the same team name all four weeks,
and we'll keep track of your team's standings.
